The leaders of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam have agreed to continue to promote the cooperation between the three neighbouring countries in all fields, including the implementation of the “Three Countries One Destination Package”.
The agreement was made by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and H.E. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, during their working breakfast in Tokyo this morning, prior to the opening ceremony of the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit for the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation.
The three Premiers highly appreciated the tripartite meeting, which will contributes to maintaining the traditional friendship and further enhancing the cooperation between the three countries in all fields and at all levels, including energy, connectivity, trade and investment, and “Three Countries One Destination Package” so as to improve the people’s living standard.
Regarding the cooperation in the areas of defence and security, the three leaders agreed to continue to hold joint trilateral exercises and joint efforts to combat all kinds of cross-border crime, as well as to jointly address challenges to ensure peace, stability and security, which are all important bases in promoting the development of the three countries, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
