India to Assist Cambodia in Digital Revolution and Crackdown on Cybercrime


India is committed to continuing to assist Cambodia in the digital revolution and combating cybercrime.

The commitment was underscored by H.E. Dr. Devyani Khobragade, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, during her meeting with H.E. Neth Savoeun, Acting Prime Minister, in Phnom Penh early this week.

H.E. Dr. Devyani Khobragade proposed a dialogue on security and crime elimination and ministerial cooperation between the two countries, which include the Ministries of National Defence and Interior, through an updated memorandum of understanding.

The Indian diplomat also spoke highly of the country’s four-month achievements under the leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.

H.E. Neth Savoeun lauded the Indian commitment and the potential cooperation mentioned by H.E. Dr. Devyani Khobragade.

He also pledged to cooperate with the Indian counterpart on the prevention of human trafficking and immigration facilitation for Indian businessmen and tourists to visit Cambodia.
