The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have noted with satisfaction their good relationship, especially the bilateral consultative mechanism between their foreign ministries, contributing to the progress of their cooperation.
The satisfaction was highlighted by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and H.E. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden, Ambassador of the Netherlands, during their meeting here at the Peace Palace this morning.
H.E. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden pledged to do his best to continue strengthening and expanding the cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet thanked the Government and people of the Netherlands for their contribution to the development of Cambodia so far. He encouraged the Bangkok-based ambassador to continue to work closely with the Cambodian ministries and institutions to contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between both nations.
The Premier laid stress on Cambodia’s attractive and practical policies, mechanisms and incentives to attract foreign investors as well as ensure Cambodia’s investment environment and competitiveness, while H.E. Ambassador emphasised that Dutch private companies operating in Cambodia recognise a better investment climate in the Kingdom, and that the Dutch government will continue to support Dutch private companies investing in Cambodia.
Both sides also discussed the cooperation between Cambodia and the Netherlands in the areas of trade and investment, and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.
