The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) is impressed with Cambodia’s role in contribution to peacekeeping within the region and globally and encourages more intimate cooperation between the country and the union.
IPU Secretary General Mr. Martin Chungong shared the impression when received by Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet for a bilateral meeting in Siem Reap province on Nov. 25, on the sidelines of the Siem Reap-Angkor Summit for a Mine-Free World.
He hoped Cambodia will continue to actively share its immense tolerance and peacebuilding experience with other countries as well as the world.
The secretary general also highlighted his observation of the rapid progress of Cambodia’s parliamentary function and looked forward to enhancing the relationship between the body and IPU.
