Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology H.E. Thor Chetha received at the ministry on Dec. 25 Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Wang Wenbin to discuss water resources cooperation between the two countries.
In the meeting, H.E. Thor Chetha extended a warm welcome to H.E. the Ambassador and the delegation, expressing gratitude to the Chinese government for ongoing support in Cambodia’s economic development.
H.E. Thor Chetha highlighted the significant contributions to progress, particularly in the water resources and meteorology sector, which plays a critical role in fostering national economic growth and achieving Cambodia’s vision 2030 and 2050.
H.E. Minister also commended a recent cooperation with Chinese government in developing water infrastructure across Cambodia, highlighting efforts under CIDCA (China International Development Cooperation Agency), the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation, and collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
H.E. Thor Chetha emphasised that these initiatives align with the Cambodia-China Community of Shared Future Action Plan (2023-2027), further reinforcing the strong bilateral partnership.
