Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has urged all competent authorities to further tighten law enforcement against gangsters.
At the graduation ceremony of more than 1,000 new graduates of Human Resource University, held at the National Institute of Education in Phnom Penh this morning, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said the Royal Government will not give up on the campaign against gangsters.
“All competent authorities must continue this campaign and take measures in accordance with the law. In case the law seems too weak, we can propose an amendment to it in order to continue to combat this problem,” he said.
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister said that the continued law enforcement tightening against gangsters does not mean that we do not think about the future of juvenile delinquents, but on the contrary, what we are tightening is to help them and help those affected by their actions.
According to the Ministry of Justice, over seven months after the launch of the campaign, a total of 720 criminal cases related to gangsters have been sent to provincial and municipal courts, arresting 3,300 suspects.
