Russian Prosecutor General Begins Working Visit in Cambodia


H.E. Igor Krasnov, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, arrived in Cambodia on May 26 on a two-day working visit for the first time.

He was welcomed upon arrival at the ramp of the airplane by H.E. Mrs. Chea Leang, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Anatoly Borovik, Russian Ambassador to Cambodia, as well as the leadership of the Cambodian Ministry of Justice.

According to a news release of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Cambodia, this is the first visit of Russian Prosecutor General to Cambodia in the entire history of cooperation between the law enforcement authorities of the two countries.

In Phnom Penh, the source pointed out, H.E. Igor Krasnov will hold talks with the heads of the relevant institutions, as well as discuss issues of bilateral cooperation with other officials. A number of documents is scheduled to be signed to strengthen and further develop relations between the two sides.

Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation began his visit by laying wreaths at the Independence Monument and at the Royal Statue of His Majesty the late King-Father Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk.
