Samdech Thipadei: Cambodia, Oman Have Strong Potential to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation


Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs of Oman, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this morning, on the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.

During the meeting, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to religious harmony and the Royal Government’s efforts to ensure the freedom and peaceful practice of all religions within the country.

He noted that Cambodia and Oman share strong potential for strengthening and expanding cooperation across various sectors. He highlighted ongoing efforts by the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce to explore new opportunities and further strengthen trade relations and investment ties with Middle Eastern countries, including Oman.

His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tarik Al Said praised Cambodia’s strategic position as a gateway for broader engagement with the Middle East, including Oman. He remarked that both nations share common principles in resolving global issues through peaceful means. As Gulf countries increasingly pivot eastward, he said, the prospects for enhanced Cambodia-Oman cooperation continue to grow.

Both leaders agreed to encourage the relevant ministries and agencies of their respective countries to explore and develop cooperation in key sectors such as trade, agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges.
