The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of the Philippines will explore new opportunities to further strengthen and expand cooperation between the two countries.
The commitment was made during a bilateral meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this morning between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Philippine President H.E. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., on the sidelines of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Malaysia.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed satisfaction with the strong relations between the two nations and emphasised the Philippines’ interest in further strengthening and expanding bilateral trade.
In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet praised the positive development of Cambodia-Philippines relations and welcomed ongoing efforts to explore new opportunities for boosting trade and cooperation.
The two leaders also discussed potential collaboration in several strategic sectors, including digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI), micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), e-commerce, healthcare services, tourism, and national security and defense.
They agreed to task the relevant ministries and institutions in both countries with conducting detailed discussions to translate these priorities into concrete actions.
