US$5.5 Million Raised through “10,000 Riels, 10,000 Donors” Campaign for Children’s Care

Some 300,000 donors have contributed approximately US$5.5 million through the “10,000 Riels, 10,000 Donors” campaign to support the life-saving operations of the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospitals.

The remarkable total was announced by the Cambodia Kantha Bopha Foundation in a news release issued on July 1, expressing deep gratitude to all contributors and relevant public and private agencies that supported the initiative.

The “10,000 Riels, 10,000 Donors” campaign was a nationwide fundraising initiative initiated by Cambodian First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet to contribute to bringing hope and healing to newborns, children, and pregnant mothers in Cambodia.

Although the campaign officially ran from June 1 to June 30, the foundation has stated it will continue welcoming public donations with heartfelt thanks.

The foundation also extended its profound appreciation to Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, who serves as its Honorary President, for spearheading the campaign.

Her leadership not only mobilised vital resources for the children’s hospitals but also reignited a powerful spirit of unity through the “Khmer helps Khmer” spirit.
