The Spokesperson of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence has strongly rejected the statement made by the spokesperson of the Thai ground forces claiming that clashes have taken place.
The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces have fully respected and strictly implemented the ceasefire orders and agreements since midnight of July 28, 2025, underlined the spokesperson in a statement released this morning.
At the same time, the statement added, meetings have been held between the corresponding military regions of both countries—including the 5th, 4th, and 3rd Military Regions—to discuss and coordinate the complete implementation of the ceasefire.
“Cambodia remains firmly committed to upholding and fully implementing the terms of the joint ceasefire declaration reached between the Cambodian and Thai armed forces during the meeting in Malaysia yesterday,” reaffirmed the spokesperson.
