The Royal Government of Cambodia expresses its sincere gratitude to the Government of Malaysia and the United States for their instrumental roles in co-organizing the Special Meeting held in Putrajaya on 28 July 2025 to address the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand. Cambodia also highly values the active participation of the People’s Republic of China, whose involvement helped support the dialogue process.

As a party deeply committed to peace, Cambodia unequivocally affirms its steadfast dedication to the full and unwavering implementation of the ceasefire agreement reached between Cambodia and Thailand on 28 July 2025 in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Cambodia’s resolve to maintain this ceasefire is absolute and enduring. At no time have the Cambodian armed forces engaged in any actions that could be construed as a violation of the agreed ceasefire, completely contrary to the fabricated allegations made in the official Statement of the Royal Thai Government, issued on 29 July 2025.

The Royal Government of Cambodia firmly rejects the misleading and fabricated accusations, which distort the facts on the ground and dangerously threaten the fragile trust and dialogue essential for lasting peace.

Cambodia reiterates that it has no intention, now or in the future, of breaching the ceasefire. Our primary goal is to ensure that peace not only prevails but endures, for the benefit of both nations and the stability of the entire region.

In this regard, the Royal Government of Cambodia expresses its deep appreciation to Malaysia, in its capacity as the current Chair of ASEAN, for its speedy dispatch, in the early hours of 29 July 2025, of a delegation led by Chief of Defence Forces of Malaysia, to Thailand and Cambodia to discuss on developing detailed mechanism for the implementation, verification, and reporting of the ceasefire.

It is Cambodia’s sincere hope that an impartial observer team tasked with monitoring, verifying, and facilitating the full and effective implementation of the ceasefire will be expeditiously set up, in accordance with the provisions set forth in the Joint Press Release of the Special Meeting held in Putrajaya on 28 July 2025, to uphold transparency and accountability.

The Royal Government of Cambodia reaffirms its steadfast and unequivocal commitment to the principles of international law, the peaceful resolution of disputes, and the enduring spirit of multilateral cooperation.

Cambodia remains fully dedicated to engaging constructively with Thailand to achieve a just, lasting and peaceful resolution to the current situation, one that firmly respects the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and mutual dignity of both nations.
