Cambodia’s Minister of Commerce, H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul, met with a high-level delegation from the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) this morning to discuss strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties.
Led by Mr. Soo Wei-Chieh, Executive Director of International Business at SBF, the delegation engaged in productive talks with Minister Cham Nimul at the Ministry of Commerce h.
The meeting focused on expanding economic collaboration and exploring new opportunities in Cambodia’s dynamic market.
Minister Cham Nimul welcomed the delegation and commended Singapore’s continued interest in Cambodia’s growing economy. She underscored the Royal Government’s commitment to improving the investment climate through trade facilitation, economic diversification, and enhanced market access.
“Cambodia is actively implementing reforms to boost competitiveness and attract high-quality investments,” she said. “We value the role of Singaporean businesses in this journey and stand ready to provide further support.”
In reply, Mr. Soo Wei-Chieh expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed SBF’s interest in deepening engagement with Cambodia. He highlighted Singapore’s confidence in Cambodia’s economic potential and praised the Royal Government’s pro-business policies. “The SBF is keen to explore partnerships that align with Cambodia’s development priorities, particularly in trade, innovation, and sustainable growth,” he said.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing optimism for strengthened economic cooperation.
At last, Minister Cham Nimul reiterated Cambodia’s readiness to facilitate Singaporean investment, emphasising the Ministry’s role in fostering a transparent and investor-friendly ecosystem.
