First Lady Continues Her Visit to Wounded Soldiers in Preah Vihear


First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet today visited Cambodian soldiers wounded in the recent border conflict with Thailand, extending the nation’s gratitude and support at the January 16 Referral Hospital in Preah Vihear province.

The soldiers sustained injuries during clashes along the Cambodia-Thailand border from July 24 to 28.

Dr. Pich Chanmony conveyed heartfelt messages from Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate; Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, honoring the troops’ bravery and sacrifice in defending the nation’s sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Accompanying her words of solidarity, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony presented material donations and financial assistance from the Royal Government, ensuring the soldiers receive necessary support during their recovery.

Both the Prime Minister and Dr. Pich Chanmony urged the wounded heroes to prioritise their treatment, adhere to medical guidance, and focus on rehabilitation so they may swiftly return to their families and communities. The visit underscored Cambodia’s unwavering commitment to its heroic defenders and their well-being.
