Vietravel Airlines Commits to Boosting Tourism Between Vietnam and Cambodia

Vietravel Airlines has pledged to continue and expand its cooperation in tourism with Cambodia, aiming to bring more Vietnamese and international visitors to the country.

The commitment was made during a meeting on Sept. 3 in Ho Chi Minh City between Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and Mr. Pham Hoang Hung, a representative for Vietravel who oversees business development.

According to a statement from Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism, the two sides discussed Vietravel’s challenges and requests for promoting tourism between the two nations, as well as new initiatives to encourage travel.

H.E. Huot Hak praised Vietravel’s efforts and the company’s strategies for developing Cambodia’s tourism sector. The minister also asked the airline to help widely promote Cambodia as a tourist destination to attract more visitors.

He emphasised that Cambodia is a safe, friendly, and welcoming international tourist destination. The minister highlighted Cambodia’s commitment to maintaining peace, friendship, and good cooperation with all nations to ensure safety and well-being for all tourists.

To further this cooperation, both sides agreed to jointly organise a familiarisation tour, also known as a Famtrip, for the Cambodian private sector. This tour will allow Cambodian companies to meet and discuss creating joint tour packages with their Vietnamese counterparts.
