The Honorable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, arrived in Phnom Penh this morning for a working visit to Cambodia until Oct. 10, 2025.
The Dominican leader was warmly welcomed upon his arrival at the Techo International Airport in Kandal province by H.E. Sok Soken, Minister of Inspection, as Minister-in-Attendance and many senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC).
According to an MFAIC’s press release, during the visit, the Honorable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit will pay a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State and President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The Honorable Prime Minister will also hold a bilateral meeting with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, at the Peace Palace. The two Prime Ministers will have an in-depth discussion on strengthening the warm relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, following which they will witness the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Bilateral Consultations between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
“The Working Visit of the Honorable Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit to the Kingdom of Cambodia will further strengthen the bonds of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two nations and peoples,” the MFAIC underlined.
The Commonwealth of Dominica is a 750-square-kilometre island nation in the Caribbean, with a population of about 71,293. Its capital city is Roseau. The country established diplomatic relations with the Kingdom of Cambodia on April 27, 2010.
