4th Clean City Competition Movement Launched

The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) has launched a mechanism and announced the movement for the 4th “Clean Tourism Competition” in 2025.

The official launching ceremony took place here on Oct. 13 under the presidency of H.E. Huot Hak, Cambodian Minister of Tourism, and Chairman of the National Committee for Clean City Assessment.

Speaking at the function, H.E. Minister highlighted that the Clean City Competition Movement was initiated with the purpose of promoting beautification, environmental sanitation, and public order in cities and districts across the Kingdom of Cambodia.

This movement adds value to the development of the tourism sector and contributes to the nation’s social progress.

In addition, H.E. Minister emphasised that to enhance Cambodia’s tourism attractiveness and promote tourism growth, it is crucial to focus on developing tourism-related physical infrastructure, improving the quality of tourism services, diversifying tourism products, and organising new and appealing tourism events.

H.E. Minister also noted that the Ministry of Tourism has launched the campaign “Clean City, Clean Resort, Good Service, and Excellent Hospitality,” which not only contributes to enhancing the quality of tourism services and products in various cities and communities, but also raises Cambodia’s reputation and competitiveness in the regional and global tourism arena.

This is demonstrated through Cambodia’s participation in and achievements at ASEAN-level and international competitions, such as the ASEAN Homestay Award, ASEAN Public Toilet Standard Award, and ASEAN Spa Services Standard Award, among others.
