Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn held a bilateral discussion with H.E. Ignazio Cassis, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation in Kigali, Rwanda on the afternoon of Nov. 20, on the sidelines of the 46th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during the meeting, both Ministers highly valued the growing bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways to further deepen the existing cooperation.
H.E. Deputy Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Switzerland’s development assistance, provided to Cambodia, especially in the areas of health, demining, culture, and local governance.
The Swiss side has expressed its strong support for Cambodia in assuming the host of the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026 and looks forward to participating in this important event.
