Cambodia, Australia Pledge to Boost Agribusiness Cooperation

Cambodia and Australia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agribusiness sector, aiming to deliver mutual benefits for both nations and their peoples.

The commitment was underscored during the Australia-Cambodia Agrifood Connection Forum, held here on Monday. Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries H.E. Dith Tina presided over the event, which served as a platform to highlight the deepening partnership.

Addressing the forum, the Minister emphasised the robust, long-standing between the two countries. He noted that the forum marks a significant step in further solidifying this partnership, particularly in attracting investment and fostering growth within the agribusiness sector.

H.E. Dith Tina outlined Cambodia’s priority agricultural policies to the audience, encouraging private sector engagement with the country’s Modern Agricultural Communities. He described these communities as organised systems featuring integrated production chains, skilled human resources capable of large-scale production, and adherence to high technical standards.

Furthermore, the Minister called on investors to participate across the entire agriculture value chain. He specifically highlighted opportunities spanning from production and processing to packaging and export to international markets, positioning Cambodia as a rising hub for quality agricultural products.
