SERC and U.S. SEC Hold High-Level Bilateral Meeting to Strengthen Securities Cooperation


A high-level delegation from the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) met with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (U.S. SEC) on April 21 in Washington D.C. to discuss bilateral cooperation and the evolving landscape of digital finance.

The Cambodian delegation was led by H.E. Sou Socheat, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as Director General of the SERC, accompanied by H.E. Vin Pheakdey, Deputy Director General and Chair of the FinTech Working Group of SERC, and colleagues.

The meeting served as a platform for both regulatory bodies to align their visions on market oversight and innovation.

During the meeting, both parties discussed establishing cooperation between the SERC and the U.S. SEC, shared experiences regarding the supervision of Digital Assets by SERC and the U.S. SEC, and the implementation of policies that support the development of the securities sector in both countries.
