Cambodian and Indian companies explored business, investment and technology partnerships in electronics, software and information and communications technology (ICT) at a business interaction held in Phnom Penh on Thursday.
Organised by the Embassy of India in Phnom Penh in collaboration with the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), the event brought together 11 delegates from nine leading Indian technology companies and more than 100 representatives from government, businesses, associations, financial institutions, technology firms and startups from both countries.
The Indian delegation represented a wide range of advanced technology sectors, including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, cybersecurity, big data analytics, FinTech, AgriTech, business automation, electric vehicle solutions, semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, health IT, drones, and mobile and web applications.
The Indian companies are visiting Cambodia to explore business and investment opportunities, establish partnerships with Cambodian stakeholders and contribute to the Kingdom’s ongoing digital transformation and knowledge-based economic development.
Indian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Vanlalvawna encouraged businesses from both countries to identify new avenues for technology partnerships, innovation, digital capacity building and investment. He emphasised that closer cooperation between Indian and Cambodian enterprises would further strengthen bilateral economic ties while supporting Cambodia’s digital transformation and sustainable economic development.
India’s expertise in information technology, software development, digital innovation and emerging technologies provides opportunities for expanded cooperation with Cambodia. The interaction also highlighted India’s growing capabilities in AI and digital innovation, supported by its technology ecosystem, skilled workforce, research and innovation, startups, and digital public infrastructure.
The one-day event provided a platform for business networking, technology transfer, knowledge exchange and commercial partnerships between Indian and Cambodian companies. It reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to deepen cooperation in the ICT sector and promote innovation-led economic growth under the India-Cambodia partnership.
