Cambodia and Belgium have agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in digital technology training and human resource development, following a meeting between Minister of Post and Telecommunications H.E. Chea Vandeth and Belgian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Michel Parys on Wednesday.
The two officials initiated direct collaboration between the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) and Belgian universities, focusing on advanced digital skills training and academic exchange programmes for professors.
During the meeting, both sides also discussed preparations for the 20th Francophonie Summit and the accompanying FrancoTech event, which Cambodia is set to host later this year. Minister Chea Vandeth shared updates on the implementation of Cambodia’s document verification platform, verify.gov.kh, outlining plans to share the technology with international partner nations.
In reply, Ambassador Parys commended Cambodia’s recent development achievements, highlighting key infrastructure projects including Techo International Airport.
