High-ranking government officials, foreign diplomats, and leaders of international business organisations gathered in Phnom Penh on Aug. 6 for the 3rd Public-Private Sector Breakfast Briefing, reaffirming their shared commitment to advancing Cambodia’s industrial transformation and strengthening the country’s economic foundation.

H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), presided over the event.

Hosted by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (CCCC) in collaboration with the CDC, the briefing was held under the theme “Strengthening the Supply Chain Foundation: Empowering Cambodia’s Industrial Transformation.”

The event brought together senior officials from the Royal Government, including H.E. The discussions reflected the international business community’s confidence in Cambodia’s investment climate and highlighted the importance of maintaining an open and constructive public-private dialogue to further improve the business environment and strengthen investor confidence.

In his closing remarks, H.E. Sun Chanthol reaffirmed the Royal Government’s strong commitment, particularly through the CDC, to advancing institutional reforms aimed at improving the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of investment services.

He highlighted three key priorities: promoting Cambodia as an attractive destination for foreign direct investment (FDI); providing comprehensive investment facilitation from project registration to commercial operation through transparent and efficient procedures; and strengthening investment aftercare services to support the long-term success of investors.

The Deputy Prime Minister also encouraged the private sector to work closely with the Royal Government in moving toward higher value-added manufacturing and deeper integration into regional and global supply chains.

He further called for stronger, more open, and regular communication between the public and private sectors to jointly create new achievements and sustain Cambodia’s economic growth and competitiveness.
