Thailand Supports Cambodia’s Recovery Efforts from Flash Floods


Thailand has offered US$30,000 in financial aid to the Royal Government of Cambodia as contribution to the recovery efforts from the recent flash flood.

The assistance was made through the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) of Cambodia.

According to a statement of NCDM released this afternoon, Thai Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Panyarak Poolthup presented the assistance to H.E. Gen. Kun Kim, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Mission and First Vice-President of the NCDM, at Cambodia Veteran Association (CVA) Headquarters located in Koki commune, Kean Svay district, Kandal province on Nov. 17.

The offer of the assistance reflects the existing close bonds of traditional friendship, solidarity and cooperation as a good neighbourliness as well as the comprehensive and long-lasting partnership between the two countries, underlined the NCDM.
