H.E. Mikami Masahiro, Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia, has acknowledged the support from relevant Cambodian ministries and technical entities to ease Japanese investors in the country.
H.E. Ambassador highlighted the acknowledgement when addressing a recent meeting of the Cambodia-Japan Joint Committee via a videoconference.
As of January 2022, the Council for the Development of Cambodia registered 147 Japanese investment projects with a total investment capital of approximately US$2.9 billion.
The Cambodia-Japan joint committee meeting was organised to hear the challenges and suggestions from the Japanese investors in Cambodia.
This round of the meeting touched on various areas including seniority payment, withholding tax on salary and value added tax refund, logistics, reducing electricity prices, and vehicle imports.
