All Right-hand Drive Vehicles Banned Definitely in Cambodia

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has re-affirmed the country’s definite ban of all right-hand drive vehicles.

Addressing to a get-together here this morning with the Cambodian delegation before their departure for the 11th ASEAN Para Games in Solo, Indonesia, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said all right-hand drive vehicles are not no longer allowed to be imported in Cambodia.

The existing right-hand drive vehicles in the country are authorised to pay taxes, and the change from the right- to left-hand drive is not required anymore, the Premier added.

According to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, nearly 7,000 right-hand drive cars have already paid taxes, of which some 4,300 cars have already modified to left-hand drive while some 2,500 others not yet.
