Salary of Civil Servants and Armed Forces to Increase in 2023

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen this morning re-affirmed that all civil servants and armed forces will receive higher salary than 2022.

Addressing to the graduation ceremony of more than 3,000 graduates of the Asia Europe University held at Chroy Changvar International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the annual pay rise was frozen in 2021 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 crisis, but next year their salary will increase, while teachers and medical practitioners will receive higher salary than others.

“I hope that all civil servants and armed forces will not be jealous with the teachers and medical practitioners on this pay rise,” he added.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister did not specify about the raise percentage, but mentioned that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020 and 2021, the state revenue dropped while the expenditure soared, but this year 2022 the income saw an increase, while the savings and expenditure are moderate.
