The crisis of COVID-19 has highlighted collective role of teachers and other players as a locomotive of education.
The note was made by H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports in a recent ceremony in Phnom Penh to cheer the World Teachers’ Day themed ” Our Teacher, Our Future, Our Country”.
During the crisis of COVID-19, teachers for all levels, parents, communities, development partners, and concerned stakeholders have cooperated well to ensure the continuity of education services for students, emphasised H.E. Hang Chuon Naron.
The celebration of the World Teachers’ Day aims to reaffirm the key role of teachers to transform potential learners to be responsible for themselves, families, country and the world.
He thanked the Government of Cambodia for the endeavour to promote Cambodia’s education as well as to protect teachers against the deadly disease.
