Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia said that the peace factor cannot be overlooked as it constitutes the foundation of all achievements in Cambodia.
Speaking at a get-together with the 1,049 grade A students of the 2021-2022 academic year held here at Chroy Changvar International Convention and Exhibition Centre this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said education, sports, arts and so on would not go on smoothly if there was no peace.
Without peace, schools cannot run well, young people and children are deprived of the opportunity to study, he said, continuing that even in the city, students and youths are forced to join the army to go to war, therefore they also lost the opportunity to study.
“Obstacles for students in the past were bullets, but today’s obstacles are traffic accidents, therefore we have to pay high attention to this issue,” the Premier added.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister said since the fall of the Khmer Rouge regime in 1979, we have made a lot of efforts to restore the education sector, so now the people have many opportunities to study.
