Cambodian Top Diplomat to Visit Thailand This Week to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation


Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn will pay an official visit to Thailand this week to further deepen and expand the thriving cooperation, upon the cordial invitation of his Thai counterpart H.E. Don Pramudwinai.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation AKP received this morning, the visit will be made on Feb. 23-24.

The two Deputy Prime Ministers will hold a bilateral meeting to deliberate across-the-board aspects of the excellent bilateral relationship and thriving cooperation ranging from trade, investment, tourism and labour to connectivity, education, health, and culture, the source said.

Cooperation within the ASEAN framework as well as regional and international issues of common interest and concern will also be touched upon, it added.

The Cambodian top diplomat will pay a courtesy call on H.E. Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, the press release pointed out.

The traditional friendship, good neighbourliness, and close all-round cooperation between the two Kingdoms have been constantly deepened and expanded, reaching the level of “Partners for Peace and Prosperity,” it underlined.
