Thailand has appreciated Cambodia for its organisation of SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games 2023 torch relay around the 11 ASEAN countries.
The appreciation was made by H.E. Dato Seri Chaiyapak Siriwat, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Thailand and CEO of SEA Games Federation after completing the SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games 2023 torch parade in Bangkok on April 17.
H.E. Dato Seri Chaiyapak Siriwat reiterated that the torch relay around the 11 ASEAN countries will further promote the games organised by Cambodia.
“Thai people are excited that Cambodia will host the SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games 2023”, said the NOC Thailand vice president, thanking H.E. Hor Sarun, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism and Special Envoy of the Cambodian SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games Organising Committees (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC) for organising the torch parade in Bangkok.
He also lauded Cambodia’s development in sports, especially the sports infrastructures, including swimming and hockey courts.
According to H.E. Dato Seri Chaiyapak Siriwat, Thailand will dispatch 1,850 athletes to join the forthcoming games in Cambodia.
