Brigade 70, an elite military unit of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), this morning inaugurated new achievements under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
Gen. Mao Sophan, Deputy Commander of the Army and Commander of Brigade 70 said the inaugurated achievements include a four-storey hospital building, two dormitories for special forces and female army, and a “traditional” building displaying the history and achievements of Brigade 70.
On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his high appreciation for the new achievements and reaffirmed the Royal Government’s commitment to continue the reform programmes to strengthen the RCAF’s capacity building to be a professional, fully competent force to contribute to safeguarding the nation’s peace, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen took note on Brigade 70’s active role in emergency response during natural and man-made disasters.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister also spoke highly of the brigade’s contribution to successful hosting of the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games in May and June.
