Despite on-going global economic pressure due to crises, Cambodia has faith in the leadership of Samdech Techo, which is not only securing socio-economic growth, but also ensuring long-term fiscal stability.
The insight was highlighted in an address by Senior Minister and President of the National Committee for Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) H.E. Ly Thuch at an economic and social policy consultation on July 13.
Senior government officials, development partners, experts from the United Nations ESCAP, and researchers attended the consultation.
Cambodian Prime Minister Sadech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, he said, has set out an economic ideology called Hunsenomics to safeguard the country from global economic crises and sustain growth.
With the long-term strategic vision, Cambodia has achieved significant development and decreased poverty noticeably, and it looks forward to becoming an upper middle-income country in 2030.
He also noted that to realise the set ambition, it is essential for the people to exercise their right to entrust Samdech Techo Prime Minister to continue leading Cambodia.
