AIA High School Championship Season 3 will start this week in Phnom Penh from Aug. 30 to Nov. 30, 2023.
The official opening ceremony of the tournament took place at the Phnom Penh Union Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC)’s headquarters here in Phnom Penh recently, under the presidency of H.E. Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction.
The event will present 74 contests every Wednesday and Thursday at 3:30 PM at three different football courts in Boeung Trabek, Bun Rany Hun Sen Chbar Ampov, and Chroy Changvar High Schools.
It expects the participation of 21 teams from high schools across Cambodia.
This is the third time the AIA High School Championship has been organised.
The first championship was held from June to December 2019 with the participation of nine high schools, and the second from July to October 2022 with 12 high schools joining.
The AIA High School Championship was initiated in 2019 by UYFC and Boeung Ket Football Club to further promote Cambodia’s football.
