Visit of Samdech Khuon Sudary Reflects Close Relationship and Mutual Trust, Says Vietnamese NA


Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) has underlined that the official visit of Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the Cambodian NA, reflects a close relationship and mutual trust between both neighbouring countries.

The remark was made by H.E. Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of Vietnamese NA, in a a courtesy call on Samdech Khuon Sudary upon her arrival in Vietnam on Nov. 30.

On the occasion, H.E. Nguyen Duc Hai, also Chairman of the Vietnam-Cambodia Parliamentary Friendship Group, expressed his congratulations to Cambodia on the success of the July National Election and to Samdech Khuon Sudary on her nomination as the first Cambodian woman to hold the post of President of NA.

He suggested the enhancement of cooperation between the NAs of the two counties through exchange of visits, and promotion of cooperation between their young parliamentarians and their parliamentary friendship groups.

For her part, Samdech Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary appreciated the rapid development of Vietnam, and laid stress on the importance of good relations between Cambodia and Vietnam based on mutual respect and mutual understanding which not only maintain their good neighbourliness and comprehensive cooperation, resulting in peace and development for both countries, but also contribute to global peace and stability.

Samdech Khuon Sudary is paying a three-day official and friendly visit to Vietnam from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 before heading towards Laos for a visit and to join the first Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam (CLV) Parliamentary Summit until Dec. 4.
