Cambodia to Host 12th General Assembly of ICAPP in November

The ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) will host the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in November this year, according to a CPP’s press release issued last night.

This important event will be chaired by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, CPP Vice President who is also Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

In a meeting with H.E. Chung Eui-yong, Chair of the ICAPP Standing Committee, on May 17, 2024 in Seoul, the Republic of Korea, the two sides discussed preparations for the upcoming event as well as some side events, including the 3rd Asian Cultural Council Meeting, 7th ICAPP Press Forum and related meetings with the participation of Asian political parties and representatives of partner political parties from Europe, Africa and Latin America.

The Cambodian People’s Party is the first party in the ICAPP family to host the ICAPP General Assembly twice. The first time — the 6th ICAPP General Assembly — was in 2010.
