The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) has received a senior delegation of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China’s naval ships docking in Cambodia, led by H.E. Admiral Shao Shuguang, Director General of China’s Academy of Sciences.
H.E. General Vong Pisen met China’s PLA delegation at the RCAF headquarters here in Phnom Penh on May 20.
He highly valued the traditional and historical friendship between Cambodia and China, which has lasted for 66 years and continues to blossom as time progresses.
H.E. General Vong Pisen also thanked the Chinese side for all the support given to the Cambodian armed forces.
Appreciating the commander-in-chief’s warm hospitality, H.E. Admiral Shao Shuguang highlighted that the purpose of the two China’s naval ships docking in Cambodia is to further strengthen the friendship and mutual trust between the two countries.
The two Chinese naval ships (Qi Jiguang 83 and Jinggang Shan 999) docked at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port on May 19 for a five-day visit to Cambodia.
