Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister Receives Deputy FMs of Japan and Norway


Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, this morning received separate courtesy visits from visiting deputy prime ministers of Japan and Norway, on the sidelines of the Siem Reap-Angkor Summit on a Mine-Free World in Siem Reap province.

In the meeting with H.E. Ms. ERI Arfiya, Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, both sides spoke highly of the relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Japan which have reached the level of comprehensive strategic partnership, and vowed to further bring them to a higher level.

They also discussed the strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation in the areas of economy and trade, education, communication and infrastructure, security, mine action, etc.

For the talks with H.E. Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed the former’s commitment to continue deepening the Cambodia-Norway cooperation, especially in the fields of investment and trade.

H.E. Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik praised Cambodia’s rapid development and great achievements in mine and UXO clearance, a good experience to share with other countries in the world.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet extended his gratitude to Japan and Norway for their contribution to the peace building, reconstruction and development of Cambodia, particularly in mine action, Khmer Rouge Tribunal, and so on.
