Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet Receives President of KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific


Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received H.E. Tan Sri Michael Yeoh, President of KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific & World Digital Chamber, prior to the opening ceremony of the Global Chinese Economic & Technology Summit (GCET) at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra this morning.

In the courtesy meeting, H.E. Tan Sri Michael Yeoh briefed Samdech Thipadei of the organisation of GCET in Cambodia, attended by many businesspersons from the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Japan, China, and many other countries in the ASEAN region. The summit aims to create a platform to provide opportunities for foreign businessmen and investors to better understand the investment opportunities and potential in Cambodia.

The KSI president expressed firm conviction that Cambodia will continue to develop under the visionary and wise leadership of Samdech Thipadei, affirming that KSI Institute will be able to contribute to the socio-economic development of Cambodia.

For his part, the Cambodian Premier thanked the KSI Institute for organising the GCET in Cambodia and highlighted the Pentagonal Strategy – Phase 1 of the Royal Government of the 7th legislature of National Assembly.

Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet laid stress on the key role of the private sector in creating jobs to contribute to improving the people’s living standards. At the same time, the Royal Government has introduced necessary policies, mechanisms and incentives to ensure a competitive investment environment and boosted connectivity to regional and global markets through bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements, aiming to guarantee success and greater opportunities for investment in Cambodia.

On the occasion, the president of KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific presented the “World Outstanding Leadership Award” to Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister.

Since its inception in 2009, the GCET has been hosted in various cities including Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, London, Melaka, Penang, Chongqing, Beijing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao.
