Cambodian Top Diplomat Visits China


Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. PRAK Sokhonn is paying a four-day visit to the People’s Republic of China, at the invitation of the Chinese side.

H.E. Prak Sokhonn, also Chairman of the Commission for External Relations of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), was seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport early this morning by senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC).

During his stay in China from Nov. 28 to Dec. 1, H.E. PRAK Sokhonn will have separate bilateral meetings with his counterparts, H.E. WANG YI, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, and H.E. LIU Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the MFAIC pointed out.

Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn is also expected to meet other Chinese dignitaries, the source added.

“As 2024 marks the People-to-People exchange year, H.E. Deputy Prime Minister’s visit to the People’s Republic of China aims at further strengthening the long-lasting relations and ironclad friendship between the two countries,” underlined the MFAIC.
