Cambodia, Iran to Promote Health Collaboration

Cambodia and Iran are committed to boosting their collaboration in the health sector by studying the possibility of drafting a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on health cooperation.

The commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting here on Jan. 13 between Cambodia Health Minister H.E. Prof. Chheang Ra and the Hanoi-based Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Cambodia H.E. Ali Akbar Nazari.

The MoU would focus on sharing knowledge and experience in robotic surgery technology, and exchanging medical technology and researchers, as well as on possible investment in the import of pharmaceutical products, medical equipment, and vaccines.

H.E. Minister and H.E. Ambassador expressed high appreciation for the rapid development in Cambodia and Iran, and viewed the MoU as an important tool to boost the health cooperation between the two countries.
