Cambodia’s Secretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence has received a delegation from the United States Congress, appreciating the U.S.’ long-standing support.
H.E. Lieutenant General Rat Dararath met with H.E. Jimmy Panetta, a Democratic Congressman from California, at the ministry early this week.
H.E. Secretary of State highlighted some instances contributing to cementing the ties, including the training of some officials of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) at the U.S. military schools and joint military exercises.
He also requested that the U.S. continue to provide capacity-building support for Cambodian peacekeepers as well as military officials.
H.E. Jimmy Panetta thanked H.E. Lieutenant General Rat Dararath for the warm hospitality and good cooperation and promised to consider Cambodia’s requests.
