Mr. Gagan Malik, a famous Bollywood star, has been nominated Goodwill Ambassador to the Ministry of Tourism, to promote Cambodia tourism to the world, especially to Indian nationals.
The Letter of Nomination was handed over to Mr. Gagan Malik by H.E. Huot Hak, Cambodian Minister of Tourism, during a courtesy meeting at the ministry on Mar. 18.
On his social media network, Mr. Gagan Malik wrote, “Feeling honoured to be officially appointed as Goodwill ambassador to the Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia. Letter of nomination is given to me by the Honourable Minister of Tourism Mr. Huot Hak, Cambodia. Welcome to ‘SAFE CAMBODIA’.”
“I must say Cambodia is safe and beautiful, people are kind and hospitable. Its cultural heritage is beyond words. Angkor Wat is an amazing example of its unmatchable heritage,” he remarked.
During the courtesy meeting, Mr. Gagan Malik sought the Cambodian tourism minister’s support and recommendations on his spiritual tourism package project from various countries, especially from India to Cambodia in the upcoming Green Season.
H.E. Huot Hak highly appreciated the efforts to showcase Cambodian tourism potential, the real situation of peace and security factors, political and social conditions, public order, and safety provided to the tourists in Cambodia, and extended his support for this new tour package project.
Mr. Gagan Malik is known for his role as Lord Buddha in the 2013 film “Sri Siddhartha Gautama”.
