Commerce Ministry’s Delegation Visits a Food Conglomerate in Thailand


A Ministry of Commerce’s delegation led by its Secretary of State H.E. Tor Pila made on Mar. 25 a study visit to CPF Food and Beverage Co., Ltd. in Chachoengsao province, Thailand.

The delegation was composed of officials from the General Directorate of Trade Promotion, the Market Development Department, the Private Sector Development Department, as well as representatives from the General Directorate of Animal Health and Production of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.

On that occasion, H.E. Secretary of State met with Mr. Narerk Mangkeo, General Manager of CPF Food and Beverage Co., Ltd., in order to see the company’s food and beverage processing plant and gain insight into its processed food production chain.

This included the production of marinated meat, ready-to-eat meals, and packaging for export to international markets, as well as distribution in various Thai supermarkets, such as Big C, Makro, 7-Eleven, and other food service business partners.

In the afternoon of the same day, H.E. Secretary of State and the delegation continued discussions with Mr. Amporn Ampornputtisakul, Senior Director of the Cutting and Processing Plant for Pork at CPF (Thailand) Public Company Limited.

The delegation also visited the production chain to study market strategies, quality control, and meat safety measures at the swine processing plant.

During the study visit, Cambodian delegation promoted Cambodian cashew nuts and pepper, encouraging both companies to integrate these products into their production chains.

In response, the companies expressed interest in sourcing Cambodian cashew nuts and pepper for testing and trial production in their supply chains.
