Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received Mr. Simon Chen, Chairman and CEO of ADATA Technology Co., Ltd., in a courtesy meeting at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.
During the meeting, Mr. Chen provided an overview of ADATA Technology, a company specialising in electronics, robotics, computers, biometrics, and automotive technologies. Founded over 53 years ago, ADATA operates through five publicly listed subsidiaries in Taiwan and Hong Kong, with more than 40 representative offices worldwide.
Mr. Chen expressed ADATA’s interest in investing in Cambodia’s advanced technology sector. He also emphasised the company’s desire to collaborate with Cambodian ministries and institutions to help train and build human resources in modern technology fields.
Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet welcomed ADATA’s investment intentions and praised the company’s achievements. He reaffirmed the Royal Government’s strong commitment to developing Cambodia’s technology sector and highlighted existing supportive policies, including the Law on Investment, streamlined investment procedures, and incentive packages for strategic sectors, particularly those related to supply chains.
The Prime Minister also encouraged ADATA Technology to continue engaging with relevant ministries and institutions to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia.
