Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended his warmest congratulation to his Malaysian counterpart H.E. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim as well as to the Government, and the friendly people of Malaysia on the joyous occasion of the 68th Anniversary of Malaysia’s National Day.
“As a vibrant and multicultural society, Malaysia stands as a shining example of unity and harmony in our region, playing a prominent role on both regional and global stages,” he stated in his congratulatory message.
The Cambodian Premier also spoke highly of the close and friendly relations between the two countries over the past decades, stressing that their friendship and partnership, founded on mutual respect, trust, and a long-standing tradition of cooperation, have continued to flourish through their joint efforts.
Guided by their common aspirations and shared interests, the relationship between Cambodia and Malaysia will continue to grow stronger and bring even greater benefits to their peoples, while also contributing to the advancement of building ASEAN Community, Samdech Thipadei added.
He also expressed his deep gratitude for Malaysia’s ongoing support and proactive engagement in helping to resolve the Cambodia-Thailand border dispute, in its capacity as an ASEAN Chair 2025. “With your invaluable contribution, the Extraordinary Meeting of the General Border Committee between Cambodia and Thailand, held on 7 August 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, has brought new hope for lasting peace in our region,” he said.
Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister reaffirmed Cambodia’s firm commitment to peaceful coexistence and regional harmony, vowing to resolve all boundary disputes with its neighbours through peaceful means and in full accordance with international law.
