Cambodian NA President to Pay Official Visit to Hungary Ahead of 8th Paris Peace Forum

Samdech Moha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly (NA) of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high-level parliamentary delegation on an official and friendly visit to Hungary before attending the 8th Paris Peace Forum in France.

According to the Cambodian NA, the four-day visit to Hungary, scheduled for Oct. 24-28, 2025, is made at the invitation of H.E. László Kövér, Speaker of the Hungarian NA. The visit aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the two nations, while deepening and expanding their partnership on a global scale.

During her stay, Samdech Khuon Sudary will meet with senior leaders of Hungary’s legislative and executive bodies. A bilateral meeting with H.E. László Kövér is scheduled, which will culminate in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two NAs to further consolidate and broaden their cooperation.

Her programme in Hungary also includes a meeting with Cambodian students studying in the country, as well as visits to major industrial, tourist, and cultural sites. These activities are designed to strengthen people-to-people ties and promote cultural, tourism, trade, and investment exchanges.

At the conclusion of her visit, Samdech Khuon Sudary will lead the Cambodian parliamentary delegation to the 8th Paris Peace Forum, taking place in Paris from Oct. 29 to 30.

During the international forum, the NA President is scheduled to deliver remarks on three occasions: at a plenary session on “New Alliances for Peace, Humanity, and the Planet”; during a roundtable discussion titled “Facing Fractures: Sovereignty in a Fragmented World Order”; and in a debate on “Divisions and Confrontations: Geopolitical Changes in Asia.”

On the sidelines of the Forum, Samdech Khuon Sudary will meet with several heads of delegation, development partners, and H.E. Ms. Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the French NA. These meetings aim to further strengthen friendship and enhance both bilateral and multilateral cooperation at the legislative and executive levels.

This visit underscores Cambodia’s active engagement in parliamentary diplomacy, contributing to the promotion of peace, mutual understanding, and national interests.
