Cambodia, UK Discuss Education Cooperation


H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, received H.E. Dominic Williams, British Ambassador to Cambodia, and representatives from UK educational institutions on Nov. 12 to discuss strengthening education cooperation through teacher training programmes and STEM education initiatives.

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron expressed his appreciation to the participating universities and educational institutions for their interest in building partnerships and investing in Cambodia’s education sector.

The Deputy Prime Minister also briefed the delegation on the progress of Cambodia’s education reform at the primary and secondary levels, highlighting that a strong foundation has been established to enable students to pursue higher education and take advantage of scholarship opportunities abroad.

He further extended his gratitude to the British Embassy in Cambodia for its continued support and facilitation in advancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of education.
