Air Cambodia, the national flag carrier, unveiled a transformative new brand identity and aircraft livery at a ceremony held at Techo International Airport (KTI) on Jan.15.
The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Mao Havannall, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation, and attended by representatives of the airline, and relevant stakeholders.
The new logo and livery of the Air Cambodia was approved by the Royal Government of Cambodia on Nov. 7, 2025 after changing its name from Cambodia Angkor Air to Air Cambodia in September 2024.
“The new logo confirms the increasingly important role of Air Cambodia in presenting the Cambodian national identity to the world, as well as reflecting the progress of civil aviation, tourism, trade, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges in the Kingdom of Cambodia through air transportation,” H.E. Mao Havannall said in the ceremony.
Centred on the airline’s third ATR72-600 aircraft, the reveal signifies a powerful renewal of ambition, rooted in national heritage and soaring toward a future of expanded regional connectivity.
The new brandmark, a central pillar of the identity, draws deep inspiration from Cambodia’s national bird, the Giant Ibis, known in Khmer as Tror Yorng, much like the Celestial Eagle.
This symbol of divine guardianship, strength, and protection is reimagined with 18 feathers echoing modern jet-engine turbine blades.
An upward 45-degree beak within a perfect circle expresses boundless energy, renewal, and the dynamic spirit of modern Cambodia.
The new brand identity is brought to life with a sophisticated colour palette of Blue, Celestial Gold, and White.
The refreshed aircraft livery features a striking blue tail and fuselage accented with red highlights, creating a distinctive and modern presence in the skies that proudly echoes the national colours.
The transition to the new visual identity will be a gradual process. Passengers and partners may continue to see the previous logo in operation for a period of time across various touchpoints, including some aircraft, digital platforms, and stationery, as the update is implemented systematically.
The airline’s aircraft fleet will be repainted progressively in the new livery according to standard maintenance schedules, ensuring operational efficiency.
Alongside its brand refresh strategy and ambitious fleet expansion, Air Cambodia received three brand-new ATR72-600 regional aircraft in 2025. The airline also signed agreements to purchase 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft and 20 COMAC C909 series aircraft.
Furthermore, the company has reportedly been profitable for three consecutive years since 2023, successfully reversing its previous losses.
H.E. Mao Havannall praised Air Cambodia’s significant achievements, including the recent signing of memoranda of understanding with Boeing of the United States and COMAC of China to acquire additional new aircraft types, as well as the expansion of new flight routes. These accomplishments were achieved despite major challenges, including the territorial conflict caused by Thailand and the global geopolitical situation, such as the Russia-Ukraine war and conflicts in the Middle East.
He also highlighted that, amid these difficult circumstances, the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation has remained a strategic partner of the private sector, continuing efforts to promote the growth of air passenger and cargo transport, ensure aviation security and safety, and develop aviation infrastructure. These efforts contribute to the implementation of Cambodia’s 7th-term National Development Strategy.
Regarding Cambodia’s air transport performance in 2025, the Kingdom currently has 36 domestic and international airlines operating regional and global connections to 52 cities across 18 countries and special administrative regions. Cambodia received approximately 7 million air passengers in 2025, representing a 12 percent increase compared to 2024.
