Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Hun Many on Sunday afternoon paid a goodwill visit to compatriots staying at the Chroy Neang Nguon Safety Centre in Srey Snam district, Siem Reap province, where he joined a New Year 2026 solidarity meal aimed at fostering solidarity and support for displaced families.
The visit was also attended by Provincial Governor H.E. Prak Sophoan and other local officials.
During the gathering, H.E. Hun Many, who serves as Minister of Civil Service and President of Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC), underscored that the UYFC remains actively engaged with displaced families—not only to bring moments of joy and ease concerns but also to reaffirm the nation’s unity.
“We do not abandon any of our people,” H.E. Hun Many said. “Together, we will overcome these difficult times as one Khmer family.”
He called on citizens to place their trust in the Royal Government of Cambodia as it pursues peaceful solutions to enable displaced families to safely return to their homes. The Royal Government, he added, stands resolutely with its people at all times, reflecting a steadfast yet humble dedication to public welfare.
Mr. Hun Rithy, Governor of Srey Snam district, reported that under provincial guidance, six safety centres have been established, each supported by dedicated teams managing accommodation, food, security, and overall well-being—demonstrating a high standard of care and accountability.
The governor noted that the goodwill visit highlights the Royal Government of Cambodia’s attentive support for displaced families, delivered with warmth, solidarity, and compassion through the UYFC and provincial authorities.
